Over the past decade, I’ve been heavily involved in the world of orthodontics. I’ve been a part of the engineering team for numerous bracket, appliance, and aligner projects.

One thing I began to realize at each and every orthodontic tradeshow was a lack of innovation in the manufacturing processes for orthodontic products. These older technologies were placing an artificial limit on the growth and innovation potential. A simple design change in an appliance shouldn’t take years of development and millions of dollars in tooling. I wanted to change that.

This is where I decided to leverage new technologies, such as 3D printing. Today, with the system Braces On Demand™ has created, it is possible to design, test, and release products into the market at an incredible pace. Braces On Demand™ is able to innovate like never before, and able to take feedback to create a better, constantly evolving system.
